I'm FINALLY in my Second Trimester!

13 Week pregnant belly pic...only gained 6 lbs but found a belly bump when I woke up this morning!

14 Week belly bump.

Much has happened since my last post. Jason and I have gone our seperate ways, I couldn't handle his immaturity any longer. I felt like he was incapable of respecting my clear and consise boundaries and needs. I broke up with him on January 5, 2009. He promptly informed me that he was planning to sign away his parental rights to my child. He doesn't even want visitaion fr Madyson. I'm really sad that all of this has hurt her. I wish that there was something I could do to make it all better, but alas since she is not my child I have no recourse to provide her with visitation rights. I will try to see if her mother, Heather, is willing to allow Mady to visit with the baby. I did meet with two lawyers and have decided to hire one in particular.

On January 8. 2009 I had my first and only bleeding episode. It was bright red blood, a lot more than spotting. It disapated quickly yet scared me to death. Luckily I had my doppler and was able to find my baby's heart beat at 165 beats per minute. This provided me with enough comfort to make it through the night. I never told my grandfather about the episode since I don't want him to feel guilty for asking me to help him the day before.

January 9, 2009 I had a really quick ultrasound and doctor's visit, both of which were normal. No reason for the bleeding was found, but my peanut has turned into a jumping bean. It was kicking it's leg all the way up to the top of my uterus from the bottom and kicking the placenta, then body slamming the placenta. Here's the ONLY pic I got from the ultrasound.

My next scan is on February 23, for my level two ultrasound. I should be able to find out the baby's gender at this appointment! I so can't wait to know how to start shopping. If baby is a girl several women have offered me their children's things. I am still hoping and praying for a baby girl, but I will love a son just as much.

I will try to keep you all updated!

12 Weeks Pregnant

December 31, 2008: Met with the high risk OB the appointment was 3 hours long, and I really loved the doctor. He took the time to not only assess my medical history and risks to the pregnancy but to explain what medications were safe and what routes we'd take to control back pain throughout the pregnancy. I had a sequential screening done, the ultrasound itself took an hour because the baby keep bouncing around my belly, the poor ultrasound tech had to chase the baby all around my belly. My baby's heart rate was 165 bpm.

Here's the pics.

Baby is looking at you and waving.

Baby full profile...you can see feet and hands if you look carefully.
Don't know what this pic is supposed to be but they were measuring the uterus.
